Kentucky Paleontological Society (KPS) monthly meeting

Julie Reizner, Geology and Paleontology Faculty, Department of Physics, Geology, and Engineering Technology, Northern Kentucky University, Past President of Kentucky Academy of Science

Paleontology gives us an indispensable perspective from which to see our world in ways that other sciences simply cannot. The study of fossils will even help us to solve many of the issues facing us now and in the future. The public perception of paleontologists as just being dusty dinosaur-diggers is no longer very accurate, as this field is becoming more diverse and welcoming than ever!  Join Julie from NKU to talk about the hot new research going on in her field of dinosaur paleontology, the relevance of paleontology to other sciences, and how the first paleontologists and geologists figured out many of Earth's biggest mysteries... and how you can even join in!
