I am a standup comedian from Washington DC where I produce a "Science Comedy Night" event. I'm bringing the critically acclaimed stand-up event to Louisville for the first time at Gravely Brewery for one night only on Oct. 16th.
My set has a lot of fun jokes (and funny PPTs!) where I talk about my life in science, job at NASA, and nerdy upbringing as an Indian-American in West Virginia. It's a unique combination and the reason that Thrillist magazine named me one of the "Best Undiscovered Comedians in the US" and underlies my TEDx talk about combining humor and science. I perform for science groups around the country, and they really enjoy it! I'll be joined by great local nerdy comedians.
This show will be raising money for the Linda Norgrove Foundation, which funds surgeries for women in Afghanistan. This is why I'm very keen on getting people out! I'm also running the half marathon that weekend to raise money for the organization as well.
