Event Description
Registration is now open for the Kentucky Geological Survey’s Annual Seminar, “Powering Kentucky’s Future,” taking place Tuesday, June 2, at the University of Kentucky’s Don & Cathy Jacobs Science Building in Lexington.
This year’s seminar will focus on Kentucky’s energy outlook and feature presentations on emerging geoscience research related to hydrogen, critical minerals, oil and gas, environmental management, rogue methane emissions, and more.
The event will also include:
A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The seminar is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Please register by Friday, May 15.

- A keynote presentation from Kenya Stump, Executive Director of the Kentucky Office of Energy Policy
- Poster presentations and networking opportunities
- Hands-on workshops in the afternoon covering landslide mitigation planning, ground-penetrating radar (GPR), and geological hydrogen exploration using rock cores
