The 2026 Kentucky Water Resources Annual Symposium will be held on September 18th at the Central Bank Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
The abstract submission deadline is July 10, 2026.
The day-long event combines platform and poster presentations, allowing attendees to hear the latest in water research, practice, and education.

The Institute is now accepting abstract submissions for platform and poster presentations on recent or ongoing research projects in water or related environmental areas. We are particularly interested in the following topics:

• Sediment and Nutrients
• Water and Wastewater Infrastructure
• Community Engagement and Citizen Science 
• Water Policy, Planning, and Socioeconomics
• Water and Wastewater Treatment Technology 
• Groundwater and Karst 
• Watersheds and Stormwater
• Aquatic Ecosystems 
• Soils and Agriculture
• Hydrology and Hydraulics

To submit an abstract, visit https://kwri.uky.edu/annual-symposium#call-for-abstracts and complete the new online submission form. Please carefully proofread your submission for accuracy. Accepted abstracts will be provided to symposium attendees and will be publicly available through the University of Kentucky's institutional repository, UKnowledge, after the symposium. The submission deadline is July 10, 2026. Authors will be notified of acceptance in July 2026 and will be expected to present at the symposium on September 18, 2026.
